Oleaje Flamenco live performance

Oleaje Flamenco is the most active flamenco performing group in the Pacific Northwest. Join us for one of our dramatic live shows, or hire us for your event.

What is flamenco?

Flamenco is the traditional music of the Roma of southern Spain – the gitanos. Impassioned singing, percussive dancing, haunting guitar – this is music meant to be listened to live.

Flamenco is largely improvised, much like jazz. In a performance, you might see the guitarist reading the dancer's arms for a cue. Or the singer weaving a new melody every night. Flamenco is a conversation between performers – happening in real-time, and different every performance.

Book Oleaje for your event

I was fortunate enough to book the trio for my wife's 40th birthday celebration. The show: captivating, thunderous, haunting vocals (in a good way), and most importantly, interactive and informative. They will awaken something inside of you!”
