A cultural experience of traditional live folkloric music and dance from southern Spain! Enjoy the spirited rhythmical energy of this event. The history of Spain is intertwined with the sounds of Sephardic, Gypsy, and Arab traditions. The pulse of the guitar, the cry of the voice, and the articulation of the dance gives flamenco its structure. It’s an unfiltered art form expressed through movement and sound, including joy, sadness, love, loss, and all other emotions in between. Join us in this evening of sharing of culture and the human experience with local flamenco artists.

This show represents the combined works of Amelia Moore (Oleaje Flamenco), Jackie Maclin (Dances of Spain) and Eve Salonen (Flamenco Boreal) in their first collective student showcase as the first step in their upcoming joint venture NW Flamenco Academy.  Accompanied by fantastic Flamenco artists Erin Lau and Esther Marion (cante), Sinan Yildirim (guitar) and Miguel Nuñez (percussion). The Carco theater is an intimate venue with fantastic acoustics, perfect for an immersive and magical Flamenco experience.
